When the victim loads https://apps.facebook.com/482922061740192 Facebook JS sends POST request to Secure Canvas URL, which must be https:// and not on facebook.com. So we are going to use special 307 redirect to redirect the victim to https://www.facebook.com/login.php?email=attacker@email.com&pass=password. Unlike 302, it preserves HTTP method and leads to POST request to login.php with our credentials and Origin: https://apps.facebook.com. So now the victim is logged in our facebook account.

Step 3. We need to trigger Facebook Login process on the client website. Simple <img src="http://victim.com/auth/facebook"> will work. In other words we turn this:

Now our Facebook account is connected to the victim account on that website and we can log in that account directly to change email/password, cancel bookings, read private messages and so on.

This bug abuses triple-CSRFs at once: CSRF on logout, CSRF on login and CSRF on account connection. #1 and #2 can be fixed by Facebook, #3 must be fixed by website owners. But in theory all of these features must be protected from CSRF.

Facebook launches Facebook Lite for devices with low specifications (APK download)

Facebook is targeting users of entry-level Android devices with a new app that is now available in a handful of developing countries.

The app is called Facebook Lite and is basically a low-fi version of the full app known by hundreds of millions of users worldwide. David Marcus, the vice president of Facebook has announced on the social media site that the company is testing a new feature for its mobile instant messaging platform, Facebook Messenger, that will automatically convert voice messages into text format. In a Facebook post, Marcus stated that,

“Facebook offers a feature that lets people send voice clips to their friends without having to type the text. Today we are starting to roll out a small test that helps people read the voice clips they receive instead of having to play them out loud.”

Say if you want to send a message to your friend,  just tap the microphone icon, record the message and send.

The purpose of this new feature is to allow users to simply read the voice messages sent to them rather than listen to them. Marcus further concluded that  this could prove useful for those people who are in a meeting or in a loud place. At the moment, the conversion feature is being tested on small scale.

Marcus further added to the post by saying that:-“We are always working on ways to make Messenger more useful.”

This feature will bring people of the world more closer and once again Facebook will be at its best.  Other instant messaging services including Facebook’s own WhatsApp have voice message services but the voice messages are sent as audio clips and the new Facebook Messenger will send the voice message as a readable text.
