Computer scientists the University of California Riverside Bourns College of Engineering and the University of Michigan have identified a new weakness in Android, ISO and Windows. Hackers can now possible obtain user’s privacy using malicious apps.
Security Researchers has hopefully discovered a way to hack six out of seven smartphone apps of Android, ISO and Windows – with awful success rate of up to 92%.Gmail and H&R Block were a easiest to hack among all apps with success rate of 92% and on the other side Amazon was the hardest app to be hacked with only 48% of success rate.
Zhiyun Qian, of the University of California, Riverside, and Z. Morley Mao and Qi Alfred Chen from the University of Michigan these personalities of researchers – will present its paper. The paper presentation “Peeking into Your App without Actually Seeing It: UI State Inference and Novel Android Attacks” (PDF), was about the new hacking way, which they named UI [user interface] state interference attack. Its about the malicious apps running in background in smartphones without the user’s knowledge
According to the researchers this method can allow hackers to interact or steal with the user’s social network passwords and even have a look at the photo of bank receipts check on any banking apps and also other privacy of user’s
So keep yourself safe from attackers/hackers by being very careful while downloading/installing an application on your smartphone.
